The city as a place of cintamination where different people and experiences intersect creating unreleased

mixes. This is the entrepreneurial model of the The Student Hotel, group based on cohabitation and collaboration, which proposes a unique hybrid destination for a rapidly growing international community.

Charlie MacGregor, CEO of the company, is a young entrepreneur who in a few years managed to establish a unique model of hospitality, where different generations of people can meet and share spaces and experiences. All in a design environment, which he believes is a common language. Charlie MacGregor has exceptionally opened to the Monobi team the doors of the last hotel in the chain, just inaugurated in Florence.

We wanted to tell the story of this extraordinary entrepreneur, who is creating a new way of living the city. Wearing a MONOBI sweater, Charlie Mac Gregor told us his story while he was at work, among the workers, to inspire his team.

The hotel is located in a historic palace, dubbed the Sleeping Palace by the inhabitants of the city. The classical architecture is enriched by innovative design solutions, such as an installation of extra large graffiti in the central courtyard, the “The Beach is Boring” rooftop pool, a skybar and two terraces with breathtaking views of the city, the Duomo and the Tuscan hills.

The company that develops, invests and operates in the properties has 4,400 rooms in 11 locations including: Florence Lavagnini, Rotterdam, Amsterdam (two locations: City and West), The Hague, Groningen, Eindhoven, Maastricht and Paris and two locations TSH campus in Barcelona, residences of the TSH group reserved for students.
